Packaging giant ORBIS Corporation has named a new Senior Commercial Director for Europe. Jürgen J. Krahé has more than 20 years of experience in the logistics and automotive industries and will be responsible for leading the commercial team of ORBIS Europe. It includes marketing, sales, technical development and pricing.
Throughout his career, Krahé has held various management and team leading positions in different European countries. His expertise in strategy development and supply chain optimization resulted in strong business growth and the successful implementation of new business models in various companies.
ORBIS Corporation develops and manufactures sustainable and reusable plastic packing for more than 170 years. ORBIS has served Europe since 2002 and in 2016, ORBIS Europe opened its headquarters in Germany.
The new Senior Commercial Director is set to drive the growth plans for ORBIS Europe forward.
ORBIS Europe presented the GitterPak at LogiMat 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany. The collapsible plastic container is a 1 to 1 replacement to steel gitterboxes and can be reused several times and recycled at the end of the service life. ORBIS produces and sells reusable transport boxes. Shifting from steel to plastic leads to cost savings, higher safety and increased efficiency.

The foldable plastic container was designed for the sustainable and efficient transportation of lithium batteries. The reusable bulk bin is collapsible and saves up to 50% of costs for return transport.
At FachPack 2018, ORBIS Corporation presented its newest reusable transport box for lithium ion batteries. The collapsible plastic container can contain up to 36 batteries and is robust to deal with the explosive characteristics of the batteries (dangerous goods).
