What are pallet boxes / Paloxes?

Plastic pallet boxes are large load-carrying containers designed to fit standard pallet sizes and typically feature skids. These skids allow plastic pallet boxes to be easily transported by pallet jacks and forklifts. ORBIS’s pallet boxes and large load carriers are available in many designs and for a wide variety of applications. They are also collapsible to maximize space savings during storage or return transport. We carry various models of pallet boxes: in Euro size 1200 x 800 mm, in ISO size 1200 x 1000 mm, and as XXL boxes suitable for shipping containers measuring 1190 x 1135 mm. Foldable plastic pallet boxes are sturdy, durable, and stackable.

How can a foldable plastic pallet box replace metal containers?

Foldable plastic pallet boxes are a sustainable and efficient alternative to steel mesh boxes. Steel mesh boxes are still the most commonly used type. This load carrier consists of a steel frame and mesh construction. ORBIS offers a packaging solution that can replace the steel mesh box on a 1:1 basis while providing various advantages. Both transport containers are based on a standard size with a 1200 x 800 mm base area and feature a high load capacity. In addition, both the steel box and the plastic pallet box have a long service life and can be reused multiple times. They are also compatible with other load carriers in the European standard module. Unlike the metal container, the plastic mesh box is collapsible when empty: With a return ratio of 1:2.7, the plastic mesh box with a lid optimizes space utilization in trucks, containers, and warehouses.

How do you handle the 1200 x 800 plastic pallet box ?

Like all foldable pallet boxes from ORBIS, the GitterPak offers user-friendly handling. For easy access to the products, the GitterPak is available with one, two, three, four, or no access flaps. Easy access to the stored goods is also guaranteed when the boxes are stacked. The ORBIS GitterPak is made of plastic and, thanks to its special manufacturing process, is particularly robust and resistant to impacts. Unlike metal containers, the components of the plastic pallet box are protected from damage caused by rust, moisture, mold, and abrasion. In addition, all parts of the pallet box can be easily replaced. No special tools are required. Damaged side walls, latches, hinges, and runners can be easily replaced with original parts.
