When transporting dangerous goods – and therefore also lithium-ion batteries – companies face particular challenges. They have to meet strict safety regulations and high protection requirements in order to transport sensitive products safely. At the same time, companies are increasingly calling for sustainability. Reusable plastic packaging combines safety with environmental friendliness.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”grid” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” background_color=”#ffffff” border_color=”#ffffff” bg_type=”bg_color” z_index=”” bg_color_value=”#ffffff”][vc_column][vc_column_text]ORBIS on the trade fair stage: networking, presenting, planning<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trade fair appearances were once again an integral part of our activities this year. We took part in the Magna Logistics Days, the Robotics meets E-Mobility Conference and LogiMAT. The latter is particularly important for us as a leading international trade fair. At LogiMAT, we presented a wide range of our recyclable transport packaging solutions: the XXLPak<\/a>, the GitterPak\u00ae<\/a>, the plastic pallets<\/a>, PlastiCorr\u00ae<\/a> and the IonPak\u00ae.<\/a><\/p>\n

The trade fair appearances not only gave us the opportunity to exhibit products and gain new customers. They are also very valuable for maintaining existing contacts and expanding our network in relevant sectors. That’s why our trade fair plans for 2025 are already in full swing.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Product development: Recyclate content increased<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our ORBIS team has also done an excellent job in product development: With the HDB 1210 large load carrier, we were able to increase the proportion of recycled material from 71% to 81%. This enables us to meet the growing demands of our customers as well as our own claim to offer sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging solutions – and to continuously improve in the process. This is the only way for users to take full advantage of our cost-efficient, robust and sustainable transport solutions.<\/p>\n

From the field: Success stories from our customers<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two success stories from this year show that we keep our product promise: DEUTZ AG, a manufacturer of innovative drive systems, was struggling with splinters, dirt and high maintenance costs with its previous wooden and steel transport boxes. A cleaner, more stable and, above all, more economical alternative was needed. DEUTZ AG found this in the GitterPak\u00ae large load carrier<\/a>. The plastic construction protects the conveyor belts and there are no more splinters to block the belts – saving employees two hours of maintenance time every day. The collapsibility of the containers also means that storage space is used more efficiently: Whereas previously there was only room for just under 4,500 wooden and steel containers in the warehouse, up to 13,000 large load carriers can now be accommodated.<\/p>\n

Salamander has also opted for the GitterPak\u00ae as an alternative transport solution: The manufacturer of window profiles switched from disposable cardboard packaging to the GitterPak\u00ae for the delivery of sealing granules. The family-run company invested a six-figure sum for this, which will pay for itself in the medium term thanks to the durability of the reusable packaging. In addition, Salamander avoids more than 30,000 kg of cardboard waste every year and thus reduces negative environmental impacts.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”grid” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” background_color=”#ffffff” border_color=”#ffffff” bg_type=”bg_color” z_index=”” bg_color_value=”#ffffff”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][vc_column_text]\"\"[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][vc_column_text]The driving force behind ORBIS: our employees<\/strong><\/p>\n

What has made our successes possible are the ORBIS Europe employees. We are therefore delighted that the number of employees has remained stable and that we were able to fill the position of Marketing Coordinator EMEA with J\u00falia Sousa Weber at the beginning of the year.
